Temovate Side Effects

Burning and stinging are the most commonly reported side effects with Temovate. In most cases, reactions such as these are mild and easy to treat. However, notify your healthcare provider immediately if you develop potentially serious problems, such as infections, extreme aggression, or an unexplained rash. Using this medicine for extended periods can also cause long-term effects, such as diabetes or osteoporosis.

An Introduction to Temovate Side Effects

Just like any medicine, Temovate® (clobetasol propionate) can cause side effects. However, not everyone who uses the medication will have problems. In fact, most people tolerate it quite well. If side effects do occur, in most cases, they are minor and either require no treatment or are treated easily by you or your healthcare provider.

Common Side Effects of Temovate

Temovate has been studied extensively in clinical trials. In these studies, one group of people received Temovate, while another group was given a placebo (a similar product that does not contain any active ingredients). As a result, it was possible to see what side effects occurred, how often they appeared, and how they compared to the placebo.

In these studies, the most commonly reported Temovate side effects were burning and stinging at the application site, which were reported in up to 5 percent of people.
