Tazorac for Psoriasis

Plaque psoriasis is a chronic skin condition thought to be caused by an overactive immune system. It is characterized by skin that is thickened, swollen, and red; in many cases, the skin is also covered with silver scales.

If you have plaque psoriasis, your healthcare provider may recommend a drug called Tazorac® (tazarotene). The prescription medicine comes in the form of a gel and a cream, and is applied once daily (in the evening) to the affected areas.
