Taclonex Scalp Treatment

Taclonex® (calcipotriene/betamethasone dipropionate) is a psoriasis medication that comes in the form of an ointment or a liquid (also called a suspension).

The liquid form of Taclonex is approved to treat moderate-to-severe plaque psoriasis of the scalp. It is applied once daily for two weeks or until the area is cleared, up to a maximum of eight weeks. Shake the bottle well before each dose, and don't forget to wash your hands after use.

It's important to protect your scalp from excessive sun exposure (including both natural and artificial sun, such as tanning booths) during treatment with this product. In addition, Taclonex should be applied to the scalp only -- do not apply it to the underarms, face, or groin.
