Psorosis

Were you looking for information about Psoriasis? Psorosis is a common misspelling of psoriasis.

Psoriasis, an inflammatory disease, is characterized by scaling and swelling of the skin. It occurs when T cells (a type of white blood cell that protects the body against infection and disease) are put into action by mistake and become too active, which leads to fast turnover of skin cells. People with psoriasis often have red, scaly patches on the skin of their elbows, knees, palms, and scalp. Topical medications, light therapy, and systemic therapy are generally used to treat this condition.
