Golimumab Drug Information

Golimumab (Simponi™) is a prescription drug used to treat rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, and ankylosing spondylitis. It is currently available in brand-name form only. The medicine comes in the form of an injection that is administered once a month.
 
Before starting treatment with this product, tell your healthcare provider if you are taking any other medications (including nonprescription drugs, vitamins, and supplements); also, let him or her know about any other medical conditions you have.
 
Most people have no problems with this medication. If side effects do occur, they are generally mild and can be treated easily. Some of the common side effects reported with golimumab include high blood pressure and upper respiratory tract infections, such as the common cold.
