Dovonex Medication Information

Dovonex® (calcipotriene) is a medicine used to treat a skin condition called plaque psoriasis. This condition is characterized by red, scaly patches on the skin, and Dovonex helps relieve these and other symptoms. It comes in cream and liquid forms, and is generally applied twice a day to the affected area.

This medication is not appropriate for everyone. Before prescribing Dovonex, your healthcare provider will need information on your complete medical history and a detailed list of all other drugs you are taking. For example, women who are pregnant may need to use a different medicine, and people who take vitamin D and calcium supplements may need to be cautious when using Dovonex.
