This medicine comes as an emollient foam, which is alcohol-free and is less drying than the regular Olux foam. As a type of steroid, Olux-E works to treat these and other skin problems by reducing inflammation and suppressing an overactive immune system. The foam is applied to the affected areas of the skin twice daily.
