Psorasis

Were you looking for information about Psoriasis? Psorasis is a common misspelling of psoriasis.

Psoriasis is a condition characterized by scaling and swelling of the skin. It occurs when T cells (a type of white blood cell) become too active and set off other immune responses, causing a fast turnover of skin cells. People with this skin disease often have patches of thick, red skin with silvery scales on their scalp, elbows, palms, and knees. Treatment for psoriasis involves three different steps: topical ointments and creams, light treatments, and oral or injectable medications.
