What If I Overdose on Locoid?

An overdose with this medication can cause serious problems. This is especially true if too much is used over an extended period. If you or someone else may have used too much or taken this medication by mouth, seek immediate medical attention.
(Click Locoid Overdose for more information.)

What If I Forget a Dose?

If you forget a dose, apply it as soon as possible, unless it is almost time for the next dose. In this case, simply skip the missed dose and continue with your regular schedule. Do not use a double dose.

How Should This Medicine Be Stored?

Locoid should be stored at room temperature. Keep this and all other medications out of the reach of children and pets.

Available Strengths

This medication comes in the following strengths and forms:
  • Locoid Lipocream 0.1% cream
  • Locoid 0.1% cream
  • Locoid 0.1% ointment
  • Locoid 0.1% solution (liquid)
  • Locoid 0.1% lotion.
Locoid Lipocream is different from most creams, including regular Locoid cream. It holds in moisture like an ointment, but feels like a cream because it does not leave a greasy, messy film.

Can I Buy a Generic Locoid?

The cream, ointment, and solution forms of this drug are available as generics. However, Locoid lotion and Locoid Lipocream are not available in generic form (see Generic Locoid for more information).
