There are a number of less common (but more serious) side effects with etanercept that you should report immediately to your healthcare provider. These include, but are not limited to:
Symptoms of an infection, including cough, chills, fever, or weakness
Numb or tingling feeling
Changes in vision
Weakness in your arms and/or legs, along with dizziness
There are other possible side effects that can occur while taking etanercept. These side effects occur in less than 1 percent of patients taking the medication. For these side effects, it is difficult to tell whether the side effect is caused by etanercept or something else.
