DesOwen Cream

People with certain skin conditions, such as psoriasis, eczema, and dermatitis, may benefit from DesOwen® (desonide) cream. This prescription steroid medicine works to relieve itching and inflammation associated with these skin problems by reducing inflammation and suppressing an overactive immune system.

Your dose of DesOwen cream will depend on the type and severity of the skin condition being treated. In general, a thin layer of the cream is applied to the affected areas of the skin two to three times daily. Possible side effects may include skin irritation, burning, and stinging.

Prior to using DesOwen, make sure your healthcare provider is aware of any other medications you are taking. Also, make sure he or she knows if you have any allergies or if you are pregnant or breastfeeding.
