Cyclosporine-Induced Hypertension

Clinical trials on cyclosporine (Gengraf®, Neoral®, Sandimmune®) have shown that up to 53 percent of people taking this medicine developed high blood pressure (hypertension). Cyclosporine-induced hypertension was considered a common side effect of this medication.

If you are experiencing an increase in blood pressure, make sure to notify your healthcare provider. He or she may closely monitor your blood pressure levels and may recommend a dose adjustment or suggest another medication altogether.
