Cyclosporine 50 Mg

Cyclosporine (Gengraf®, Neoral®, Sandimmune®) is a prescription medicine that belongs to a group of drugs called immunosuppressants. It comes in an original formulation and a modified form that is more easily absorbed into the body. This medicine comes in a variety of strengths, including:
 
  • Cyclosporine 25 mg capsules
  • Cyclosporine 100 mg capsules
  • Cyclosporine 100 mg per mL oral solution
  • Cyclosporine 50 mg per mL intravenous injection
  • Cyclosporine (modified) 25 mg capsules
  • Cyclosporine (modified) 50 mg capsules
  • Cyclosporine (modified) 100 mg capsules
  • Cyclosporine (modified) 100 mg per mL oral solution.
 
The original cyclosporine (Sandimmune) is approved to prevent organ rejection in people who have received a heart, kidney, or liver transplant. Modified cyclosporine (Gengraf, Neoral) is approved to treat severe psoriasis and severe, active rheumatoid arthritis in people who do not adequately respond to other treatments.
