What Is Cormax?

A healthcare provider may prescribe Cormax® (clobetasol propionate) to adults or children as young as 12 years old who have certain skin conditions. But what is Cormax and how does it work?
 
Cormax is a generic version of Temovate® and is approved for treating various skin problems, including:
 
 
This medicine comes as an ointment for use on the body or a topical solution for use on the scalp. As a type of steroid, Cormax works to treat these and other skin problems by reducing inflammation and suppressing an overactive immune system. The medicine is applied to the affected areas of the skin twice daily for up to two weeks.
