flurandrenolide tape) is a prescription medication classified as a topical steroid. It is a medicated tape that provides a prescription-strength steroid and a waterproof barrier that helps protect and hydrate the skin. The barrier also increases the potency of the steroid. This drug is approved to treat a wide variety of skin conditions, such as eczema,
psoriasis, and dermatitis.

Cordran Tape belongs to a group of medications known as glucocorticoids. Glucocorticoids are a type of corticosteroid, or "steroid" for short. Although glucocorticoids have numerous effects in the body, they are used mostly for their anti-inflammatory or immune-suppressing properties. Cordran Tape works for most conditions by decreasing inflammation or suppressing an overactive immune system.
Although it is technically an inactive component, the tape actually serves a very important purpose. It makes the steroid more effective and provides a barrier to protect and moisturize the skin.
